Dear distinguished guests,

We are delighted to mark the 14th anniversary of Global HR Forum, jointly founded by the Korea Economic Daily, the Ministry of Education, and Korea Research Institute for Vocational Education and Training (KRIVET) in 2006. This year’s forum will be held at Grand Walkerhill Seoul from November 6 to 7, 2019, celebrating our meaningful gathering under the banner of “Together, for a better future.”

The emergence of the fourth industrial revolution driven by the latest technologies such as AI, big data, and IoT, is expected to induce large-scale and fundamental changes in industrial and social structures. Such changes will be beyond our imagination, in terms of its velocity, scale, and influence; and in return, industrial structure and social system will be redefined and reformed. Quality of life and productivity will dramatically improve, while posing imminent threats to conventional jobs at risk of automation and escalating socio-economic inequalities.

This year’s forum under the theme of “Together, for a better future,” therefore is a sensibly designed theater for staging innovative ideas for sustainable development and consolidating expertise to minimize inequality mankind may face in the near future. In doing so, hours of dialogues and discussions on policy development for innovative and all-inclusive HR strategies, HR strategies for digital transformation, lifelong learning, and EdTech will be staged by 5,000 leaders and experts from the world’s best organizations, universities, companies as well as governments and international organizations.

We look forward to having the pleasure of welcoming you all to Seoul this November and urge your continuing support for the Global HR Forum 2019.
